Lynqed respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app stores, how it is used, and your choices. We write in plain language because you should not need a law degree to understand your own data.
Information We Store
Lynqed stores relationship information you enter, including:
- Your profile (name, pronouns, birthday, optional photo)
- Relationship profiles (names, notes, memories, plans, check-ins, and related dates)
- App preferences (such as notification settings)
You choose what to save. Lynqed does not collect relationship content from your contacts, messages, or social accounts without your explicit action.
Local Storage
During Alpha, Lynqed stores your data locally on your device. A cloud account is not required. Your relationship information stays on your phone unless you choose a future backup or sync feature when available.
Permissions
Lynqed may request device permissions only when needed for a feature you use:
- Photo library — to choose profile photos (optional)
- Notifications — to deliver local reminders you enable (optional)
We explain each permission in the app before it is requested. You can decline and continue using Lynqed for most features.
Data Security
We design Lynqed with privacy in mind. Alpha data is stored using your device’s secure local storage. We do not sell your relationship information. We do not share it with advertisers.
Future Cloud Features
Planned features such as Cloud Backup & Restore (Google Drive) and Google Calendar Sync are not yet available. When they ship, they will be optional, clearly explained, and covered by an updated policy before launch.
- Backup & Restore — encrypted copies you control
- Calendar Sync — dates and plans only, not your full relationship notes or memories
Children’s Privacy
Lynqed is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through Lynqed, contact us and we will help address it.
Your Rights
You can view, edit, and delete your data within the app. Because Alpha data is stored locally, uninstalling the app may remove data from your device unless you have a backup. You may contact us with privacy questions or requests.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Lynqed grows. Material changes will be reflected in the app with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
